Created & Loved is about students building a healthy Christian vision
of themselves, their sexuality, and relationships

Yrs 5 – 6 (9 – 11 years old)
Programme Length:
One 100 minute session
Programme Delivery
Our facilitators gently guide students through activities in small groups. Rangatahi learn to recognise that each person is a precious taonga, made in the image and likeness of God, while also briefly exploring the ways they will grow physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually through adolescence
Kaupapa / Topics covered include:
The Journey of Life: Journey with characters ‘Maia’ and ‘Noah’ as they grow from conception to birth, exploring this amazing development through our senses with the help of baby models
Wonderfully Made: Physical Changes Exploring the physical changes of puberty and learning practical strategies to navigate them with confidence
Wonderfully Made: Mental & Emotional Changes: Exploring the mental and emotional changes of puberty, and learning strategies to manage them by using both our ‘feeling brain’ and our ‘thinking brain’
Wonderfully Made: Social & Spiritual Changes: Learning about the social and spiritual changes that come with puberty, and deepening our understanding of God’s unconditional love – a love we are invited to imitate, share, and receive
